Flashback to 2013: a modest, chilly garage filled with secondhand gym equipment, a close-knit group of friends and family, and a shared goal of improving health and fitness. Fresh out of university and working at a local gym, Brad decided to create his own personal training space in his parents’ garage—and just like that, OnPAR Health was born.
By early 2016, OnPAR Health officially took shape. With a new logo, some printed T-shirts, and a clear vision, Brad set out to establish a gym and training facility centered on overall health. The goal was simple but powerful: to help people get back OnPAR through Physical Activity and Rehabilitation.
Still running strong in the garage, 2017 marked a turning point. Brad and Amy moved in together, and Brad managed to convince Amy to join the journey. As the “head chef” of their home, Amy’s healthy, meal-prepped dishes became the talk of the gym. Clients frequently asked where Brad got his meals and sought nutritional advice. From this demand, the meal prep service was born. What began as Amy preparing fresh, healthy meals in their home kitchen quickly grew in popularity. After seven years of juggling both careers, Amy decided to leave her job as a PE teacher to work alongside Brad full-time, pouring their combined energy into building the OnPAR Health they had always envisioned.
In August 2019, Brad and Amy were presented with an opportunity to purchase a car showroom across the road from Brad’s garage gym. In February they were given the green light to turn it into their dream gym. However, COVID had other ideas. Halting renovations and delaying the plans. Despite the setback, their determination never wavered. After 18 months of planning, perseverance, and hard work, OnPAR Health opened its doors in its current form in November 2022.
Since then, Brad and Amy have worked tirelessly to transform OnPAR Health into more than just a gym. It’s become a vibrant community hub for health, fitness, and well-being—a testament to their passion, resilience, and dedication to helping others thrive.

Matt Pinder
Matt joined the OnPAR Health family in 2015—not as a coach, but as a client. Training in our cold garage gym, he worked hard to prepare for the England Football School Boys trial process.
In 2017, Matt faced a life-changing setback. After being paralysed for two months due to Guillain-Barré Syndrome and Functional Neurological Disorder, he returned to the gym to rebuild his strength—learning to walk again in six months.
Driven by a passion for pushing limits, Matt completed an incredible multi-day ultra-marathon in 2021, running two marathons daily for five days from Southport to Hornsea along the Trans-Pennine Trail. Today, you’ll find Matt leading Hybrid sessions and pushing his PT clients to discover what they’re truly capable of.
